BOTDN 220209

Loz finally leaves after some more hours in which he does manage to comply, the day has gone by, nightfall is just a couple of hours away, the Vampires are asleep, or whatever it is they do during the day, and I finally get a chance to touch the Necronomicon, it´s leather cover and the brooches that keep it shut, curiosity drives me, I carefully open the brooches and look at the text, it is in Latin, but my inner fire seems to react to it, and much as I already talked and read English when I woke into this half life it now allows me to read and understand this strange text before me. I browse through it, barely reading some headlines and random paragraphs, when I hear a knocking sound coming from the window, I open the curtains and find only a wall infront of me, high above I notice a small slot through where the silvery dimm light of the day barely gets through, I take a chair and climb to see through the slot, but I see little, the glass is frosted, and I can only see the silouhette of a bird outside. I try both pushing and sliding the glass, but it is firmly set, these rooms are thought to be used by vampires, no windows are needed, I step down and return to the book.
It does not take long for another knocking sound to interrupt me, I open the door and find Sephiroth standing there, I let him in, not caring for the mess that Loz and I made last night. I return to the Necronomicon once more, my eyes again browse through it, death is a persistent topic in it, the death that my Fire keeps away from this body of mine, some rituals here and there, but I cannot yet figure what ritual it is I have to do with the names in the Book.
As I focus on it, Sephiroth jumps out of his chair and lifts something from the floor, right next to the wall, a huge rat, he crushes it, I hear its bones breaking, but as the last remnant of life escapes from the body, it becomes blood and it simply spills on the floor.
Sephiroth comands me to grab the Necronomicon and get out, I do, I wrap it in a pillowcase and step out of the room, he runs to Helena´s room and after uselessy ltrying to turn the knob, he tackeles it until it falls down, she is laying there on the bed, and it will be some time before she wakes up, and we cannot let her be touched by the dim sun from the outside. I tell Sephiroth to go get the curtains from my room, he does and with them we wrap up Helena, he picks up his cell and points out that the volume in it is set to the maximum. I run downstairs and ask the doorman to call us a cab, he does and tells me to wait about fifteen minutes, I return upstairs and reach the room in time to see Sephiroth slicing the curtains as the small window from the room is being knocked by something outside. Sephiroth uses a transmutation, he picks up some object I cannot see clearly and throws it to the window, but his aim fails and the object just manages to crack the glass, I see the bird´s sillouhette disappear and hear wings fluttering.
The taxi gets here, Sephiroth picks Helena and puts her over his shoulder, all wrapped in the thick curtains, reminding me of the time he rescued me from the Shin Ra building.
We step into the Taxi and head downtown, the last of the sunlight disappears behind the trees and hills and the air seems to chill inmediately. The driver asks about the strange curtain wrapped bulk Sephiroth has put next to him on the back seat, I explain to him it Is a friend of us what is asleep after drinking too much, a lie that works easily, for he asks no more questions.
Helena wakes up and violently gets out of her satin prison, asking with her pompous and strong accent what happened to her, I wink at her as I explain her she drank too much. Still she does demand to hear the truth, but I am not sure I can telll her much infront of the human. So I just tell her that there seemed to be danger in the dormitory so we had to flee.
It is when we are finally downtown that she makes me realize of a very Dire mistake, we do have the Necronomicon with us right now, but the Book is still in the Dormitory. Helena picks up her cellphone and calls Kadaj, and asks him to pick her things and bring them to her. We wait for some minutes before he finally arrives, but unlike us, he gets here in a large luxurious vehicle, and with him come Mandragora and a queer looking man, on whose shoulder lands a crow.
Helena greets Mandragora, and after some whispering heads to the other man, as she talks to him, Mandragora aproaches me, he towers upon me.and stretches his hand towards me, something within me compells me to stretch my arms, which until then had been hugging the Necronomicon as tightly to me as possible, he takes the book and I simply cannot believe what I have just done.
But again Helena´s charm saves the day, the book is given to her, and Mandragora clearly states it is for her, and not for others to have. After this they leave.

The Vampires go feed, they return shortly after, and Kadaj seems to have found himself some drunk to feast upon, he is clearly tipsy. Telling Helena some lowlife phrases that try to flatter her, we head to the small town´s Green Dragon and sit there, I can hear Kadaj hitting on the clerk as I continue reading the Necronomicon, it is barely making sense, it seems to be much too complicated. Time goes by and it is closing time for the establishment, Kadaj asks his new friend for a place we can stay. She gives him an adress and we head there. “The Silver Moon” the sing reads, a building probably older than the country, within it we see hunting trophies and furs of wolves, the man behind the counter does not help the place look welcoming, he even looks as old as the building itself, when asked for rooms, he just moved as if life were as long as he wanted.
We go upstairs, a woman as old as the man is sweeping the floor, still the whole place is covered with dust, I even wonder if a Tammuz has been around, but I feel no Azoth nearby. I start reading once again as Helena has insisted on me being the one to read it. But as I try to focus, I look out the window and find two glowing eyes looking at me, I look into them and paralyze whatever it is, and try to make it flee.but it resists. Kadaj opens the window and I aproach it, the window faces the forest surrounding the town, it Is dark, and the creature seems to be well hidden, for I cannot recognize its shape or size. Sephiroth runs out and reaches the bottom of the tree the creature is hanging from, I hear him climb as I hold the thing in place, and with herculean strength he hits it, however what reaches my ears is the soundof metal hitting rock, but it is enough to make the creature reveal itself, its Genoma, a fear greater than the one caused by Genoma fills me, and I again try using the same tactic I used the last time we fought it, I made my fire burn within the creature, and make it run away from us. It works, the creature leaves, but to my demise Sephiroth chases after it, and they start fighting. Kadaj asks how is it that the creature found us, and I tell him that he follows us Prometheans. It feels us, and that for a day or so it would not return to bother us.
I hear a buzzing sound, and run behind Kadaj and make him face the window, he asks me what is happening and I tell him about the sound, Helena is already exiting the room and he follows her, I am left alone in the room. I look at the window and see a smaller version of Genoma crawling in, again my stare paralizes it and I manage to make it go away. I then run out to meet the others, Helena is holding a Shotgun as Sephiroth and Kadaj are covering their wounds, Genoma is nowhere to be seen. All the other Guests of the Silver Moon are coming out to see what was all this ruckus, Helena tells them it was some wild animal, and that they´ve scared it.
I again hug the Necronomicon close to me, wondering if such an old and valuable book would resist being next to a creature whose nature is to absorb the life and balance of everything around it. I must hurry and decipher it.

Sephiroth...........................................................................................bueno, si decides seguir jugando te cuento luego.
